Take my Breath Away: An Indian Ocean Sunrise

During a stay at the Archipelago Resort, we got up at 0430 to watch the sunrise over the Indian Ocean.

We weren't the only ones up as some Mozambicans began their day very early.

Vilanculos, Mozambique, continued to take my breath away for its beauty.

So, so, so beautiful.

Bazaruto Island and an attempt at snorkeling!

While in Vilanculos, Mozambique, I visited Bazaruto off its coast in the fantastic Indian Ocean.

The water was so crystal clear.

And the island has beautiful dunes you can climb!

(I didn't climb them; my friends did. I couldn't bring myself to leave the beach.)

Heaven.

The beach was so clear and empty; these were the only things I found on them.

The visit included some snorkeling!!

We visited Two Mile Reef, a coral reef off the coast.

An Archipelago Resort Escape!

Why, hello, ocean! Oh! How I've missed you.  In fact, I hadn't seen the ocean since this trip.

Taking a short getaway from Zimbabwe, I found myself in beautiful Vilanculos, Mozambique.

In a lovely lodge by the ocean.

And for the first time ever: I put my feet in the Indian Ocean!
(The water is so much clearer than my beloved Atlantic Ocean...)
