Peleș Castle...what a palace should look like!

 The castle was inaugurated in 1883

 and built for King Carol I of Romania (1839 - 1914)

 the Saxon influence is strong and leaves a breathtaking impression,
particularly in the palace's courtyard

Count Dracula, I am glad we did not meet

My bets is this would be the creepiest one to have seen him crawling down

Brasov: Entering Transylvania

The Rasnov, Romania, citadel -- built around 1215 by the Teutonic Knights.  
It was only conquered once in 1600
