A Tuku Finale!!

Zimbabwe's celebrated Oliver Mtukudzi performs for the finale of the 2012 Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe.

Tuku, as he's affectionately known in Zimbabwe, is a born performer.

It's safe to say basically everyone in the audience--jammed so full I wondered if everyone could breath--knew all the songs.e

Senegal's Ismaël Lô joined him on stage for an awesome rock out.

For some reason, the Ipad filming of the concerts cracked me up...until I couldn't see Tuku!

That's when I appreciated the traditional phone capturing the moment!

Shout Out to Senegal: Ismaël Lô!

Senegal's Ismaël Lô performs during the 2012 Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) in Zimbabwe.

He was soooo good; I can't believe I never saw him while living in Senegal!

To be honest: it made me really happy to hear some Senegalese music (it had been too long!):

Of all the concerts I've been to in my life, I've always seen cameras and phones held up to take photos and record.  

The Ipad was a first for me at HIFA...

Ismaël Lô was awesome.
