A Hwange safari parade...

On safari in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, I came across this lovely elephant parade.

Every safari reminds me of Zimbabwe's remarkable beauty.

Why, hello, you beautiful giraffe, you!

My heart is reserved for the elephants of Zimbabwe.

Love.

Baboons found an electric tower to hang out on.

This one kept sliding down instead of climbing down.

Hwange graced us with a beautiful sunset.

For some reason this phone booth really cracked me up.

So random, and so not the right era....

Holy Rosary and Paint Nam!b!a

While visiting wonderful Swakopmund, Namibia, I had the pleasure of attending Mass here.

(How beautiful is that mosaic?!)

Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

The service was a mixture of English and German.

And I loved that the church fit so perfectly with the town's architecture.

Although, everyone bone in my body wanted to correct the grammar of this sign....

I loved the PAINT NAM!B!A movement!

When's the last time you saw one of these?  Let alone saw someone using a payphone?!

Atlantic Ocean and beach, I miss you already.

A Tuku Finale!!

Zimbabwe's celebrated Oliver Mtukudzi performs for the finale of the 2012 Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe.

Tuku, as he's affectionately known in Zimbabwe, is a born performer.

It's safe to say basically everyone in the audience--jammed so full I wondered if everyone could breath--knew all the songs.e

Senegal's Ismaël Lô joined him on stage for an awesome rock out.

That's when I appreciated the traditional phone capturing the moment!
